I have always wanted to make films, so starting out in the camera department was the obvious decision for me after university. Being around experienced camera teams inspired me to work hard, hone my skills and work my way up, learning as much as I could about film making on set.

I was lucky enough to be one in a last generation of everyday film loaders, loading most days on Commercials, Music Videos, Feature Films and TV Dramas.  It was a great way to learn about the balance of camera and light and how to use the huge variety of equipment out there to help tell a story.

The camera department gave me the opportunity to work closely with all the other departments on set, and to learn the importance of working as a team to best enable the vision of the director and producers.
